ABHA: Ayushman Bharat Health Account
- ABHA’s full form name is Ayushman Bharat Health Account. This account (Health ID) card is a 14-digit unique number with which user can link all health records digitally. It can be created by AADHAR No. & Driving license.
- Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) or Health ID is the Govt. of India scheme under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) for Indian residents to create a single source of all their health-related information.
- When the Health ID card or ABHA number has been created, persons will also have an option to generate an alias, similar to the email ID – xyz@ndhm or abc@abdm with a password, known as ‘ABHA address’ ( Previously recognised as ‘PHR address’).
Benefits of ABHA Health ID card
- Accept all medical records such as lab reports and prescriptions from verified doctors & hospitals on your ABHA (Health ID) address.
- ABHA Health ID card will help in hospital admission form, minimize the time.
- Personal Health Records (PHR) has been created.
- All medical records are totally confidential, and private. It can only be shared with a healthcare facility provider only with your agreement.
- Can be used in AYUSH healthcare services
Step to create ABHA ID in some easy steps:
- Go to https://healthid.ndhm.gov.in/. Enter your 10 (Ten) Digit Mobile Number and authenticate/verify with OTP.
- Enter “Your Name”, Gender and Date of Birth and Click on “Continue”.
- Create your “ABHA address”, Select your state and district and Click on “Continue”. (Data will be tracked by KYC details only.
