  • PNGRB has given the Company permission to build a 1,755-kilometer pipeline between Mumbai and Nagpur in Jharsuguda.
  • It was established as a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas in August 1984. (MoP&NG).
  • Gas Authority of India Limited was the company’s previous name.
  • The Hazira – Vijaypur – Jagdishpur (HVJ) pipeline project was initially assigned to the business for construction, operation, and maintenance. One of the world’s largest cross-country natural gas pipeline projects.
  • It completed the world’s longest and India’s first cross-state LPG transmission pipeline, which runs from Gujarat’s Jamnagar to Uttar Pradesh’s Loni, in 2001. This LPG pipeline is 1415 kilometres long.
