Dell is a parent company of Dell Technologies, an American technology establishment that develops, sells, repairs, and maintains computers and affiliated products and services.
Dell sells PCs, waiters, data storehouse bias, network switches, software, computer peripherals, HDTVs, cameras, printers, and other outfit made by other companies.
Michael S. Dell created Dell Computer Corporation, doing business as PC’s Limited, in the year 1984 while a student at the University of Texas at Austin. It is the third-largest personal computer vendor as of January 2021.
The start-up, which operated out of Michael Dell’s off-campus dorm room at Dobie Centre, planned to sell IBM PC-compatible computers made from stock components.
Michael Dell began his business with the premise that by selling personal computer systems directly to clients, PC’s Limited would be able to better understand their needs and deliver the most effective computing solutions to fulfil them.
In 1987, the company changed its name from PC’s Limited to Dell Computer Corporation and began expanding globally.
Dell’s business headquarters are in Round Rock, Texas.
